Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Beach

An aircraft flying above a popular southern California shoreline suddenly started spinning wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm trees as onlookers observed.

Footage uploaded on social media depict the chopper starting to spin near the shoreline then descending in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.

Emergency Response Information

Emergency responders stated five persons were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on that day.

Three persons on the road were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were still under review.

What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

The department said the helicopter was connected to an regular “Cars and Copters” charity gathering planned for Sunday.
